Busy Blogger

Non-stop weekend and it isn’t quite over yet- I have to get to work in 45 minutes so this will just be a quick wrap-up of the past two days.

Friday night I snacked on an apple before going to wish my friend a happy birthday. I didn’t go out, I was waaay too tired and knew I had to get some sleep to power me through the weekend.

Saturday morning I woke up to 1 cup of Barbara’s Multigrain Shredded Spoonfuls cereal with a banana and Vitasoy Light Original Soymilk. Perfect 🙂 I can’t decide if I prefer this cereal or the Shredded Oats… Might be the Oats one though. haha.

I had to pack both lunch and dinner- pictured here is: a wrap made almost exactly like last time, an Ezekiel tortilla with spinach and dill hummus, shredded carrots, cucumber, mixed greens, rotisserie chicken and mustard (delish!); an apple; some 2% yogurt; strawberries; trail mix made with yogurt covered raisins, dried blueberries and honey roasted almonds; a pb z-bar (that I actually didn’t wind up eating) and an awesome Skinni Mini Edibles vegan carrot muffin made with no added sugar (date paste is used instead). The nutrition facts for this muffin were pretty awesome- 216 calories for 150g, 3g fat, 8g fibre, 14g sugar, 6g protein, vitamin A, C, Calcium and Iron. And it tastes awesome, not too sweet but very filling and energizing! I have tried a few other treats made by this bakery (the date-based brownie, blondie, chocolate chip granola bar and chocolate chip muffin) and I have loved them all.

Sunday’s breakfast was identical to Saturday’s, 1 cup of Barbara’s Multigrain Shredded Spoonfuls cereal with a banana and Vitasoy Light Original Soymilk.

I was in a rush to pack lunch and dinner and so didn’t get very creative today. The wrap is the exact same as yesterday’s, and also pictured are an apple, 2% yogurt, blueberries, a Cocoa Mint Jocalat Larabar, a pb z-bar (which did get eaten today) and trail mix made with 1/4 cup Barbara’s Multigrain Shredded Spoonfuls, yogurt covered raisins, honey roasted almonds and a square of the amazing Green & Black’s Organic 70% Dark Chocolate.

I just found out that I have tomorrow and Tuesday off! How exciting! Plenty of time (I hope) to get all of my errands done and get in a few workouts (I’ve missed my gym time!).

***EDIT*** I had about 1/2 cup serving of a mix of gelato and sorbet tonight at work.

Hey Anou! You’re totally right on that one- we don’t get z-bars in Canada. My bf is from Boston and he brought me up a box from the last time he was there. I’m running low and need him to go mail me more haha.
